I am not a chef but I do like to cook. Lately people have been telling me how great my recipes are so I thought maybe I would start sharing.

I have a secret though....

I'm just super good at tossing random ingredients together and making something delicious. I never really ever write anything down and then recreating it again is hit or miss.
Sometimes I will look at recipes online and then remake the recipe using the ingredients I have in the pantry. I think this is how I came up with this recipe. I couldnt find the original to share, but this is my version and I hope you like it.

I did write it down, just for you. Feel free to adjust it as you wish.

Ingredients:
1 Bag of Fresh green beans (I have used whole frozen green beans for this and it works just the same)
2-3 tbsp Tomato paste
2 1/2 tsp Red wine vinegar
3 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Red pepper flakes, however much you want, or dont want
1.5 tsp diced Garlic
2 tsp Garlic powder
(we like garlic in this house, so adjust if you dont want as much)
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Pepper
2 tbsp water in the mixture
1/4 cup water in slow cooker

Start by cutting the stem ends off of your green beans. If you dont, some of them might be tough and chewy and just a pain in the butt to eat.

Mix all your seasonings together in a bowl

Then add in the red wine vinegar and oil.

Now,mix in the tomato paste. This is where I added in a little bit of water because the mixture was too thick. I wanted it to cover all of the green beans but not run off so be careful you dont add too much water.

Now cover the green beans and put them in your crock pot. I put a 1/4 cup of water in the bottom of the crock pot at this point, its mostly to keep them from sticking on the bottom.

*Sometimes when I make this, at this point, I add in more tomato paste. I just toss some in and mix it up.

I cooked these on low for about 4 hours. I did check them and stir them periodically so they didnt stick to the bottom of the pot.
