Here is a look at a wedding I did a few months ago (Yes, still very behind on blogging)
It was such a beautiful day!

Most of you know I got married in May, maybe I will do a post on my wedding soon because it was awesome and it does deserve a post. In fact, it deserves 50 different posts dedicated to it. I do not have time for 50 different posts! Maybe, in the middle of winter when it is -30 I will get around to it. For now, I will post some pics from of our amazing honeymoon in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. It was perfect. I cannot wait to go back there. It was so wonderful that we talked my parents in to going up and they also had a wonderful time. We are now all obsessed with Boothbay Harbor. We drove up on a Saturday and stayed the night in Portland (great city!) until our cabin was ready the next day in Boothbay Harbor. It really is the way life should be. Boothbay was exactly how you would picture a seaside town. SO perfect! Red's Eats is a very famous Lobster Roll stand, very popular. I had read there was another place closer to Boothbay Harbor that had better lobster rolls, so we skipped Red's. The line was probably an hour wait! Next we arrived at our cabin (yes, I took photos of every detail!) The owners were so nice. They had a gift waiting for us! Thank you Taylors!!!! While eating at Mine Oyster, I found a pearl in my oyster. I bit down on something hard and there it was! Rob thinks I am crazy but here is the proof, let me know what you think! The first day we relaxed and went to eat (tried raw oysters, loved them) and then the following day we went to the Fishermen's Memorial and the coastal botanical gardens. Of course it happened to be the hottest day the whole time in Maine. I think on a cooler day, the Botanical Gardens would have been more enjoyable. Even though it was hot, it was still beautiful! Aside from LOBSTERS (yum) Maine is also known for blueberries. This sculpture is in honor of the children's book, Blueberries for Sal. Have you read it? As the days went on there were more sights to be seen and more seafood to be had. It was such a great place for a relaxing getaway. We went to the aquarium, on a cruise, looking for lighthouses, took a tour of the craft brewery, and went sight seeing. We also took a sunset schooner ride for a few hours. I cannot wait to get back to Maine someday! Lobster roll..... oh my... so delicious ..... If you ever go to Maine you HAVE to have a lobster roll. We had heard of Orne's after doing some research online of places to go. We ended up going a few times through out the week, hehehe... (the chocolate peanut butter fudge was the most amazing fudge EVER) Just in case you dont know me, I am obsessed with lobsters. My bridal shower was lobster theme. It all started way back in the day with the episode of FRIENDS when Phoebe tells Ross that Rachel is his lobsters because lobsters meet and stay together for life. I have collected lobsters ever since. I was in HEAVEN at this store!!!! Unfortunately it was foggy by the lighthouses so I didnt get very good pictures of those. Oh well, just another reason to go back!! Have you ever seen a starfish eat? I didnt get to swim with sharks (Rob wouldnt let me get in the tank) but I did get to pet one!!! While we were sailing we kept hearing a strange shrieking noise.... we soon saw an osprey attacking a bald eagle's nest. The eagle won and the osprey soon left. At Coastal Maine Popcorn Company we were able to sample some flavors (they had a ton of yummy flavors from buffalo wings to blueberry) before deciding on two we liked. We wanted to go back and get more before coming home but we ran out of time. You can check them out Here. Before going to Maine we knew we wanted to purchase art for our home to remember our honeymoon. When we arrived there we immediately noticed carved wooden whales in some of the businesses. I wanted one so bad! We stopped in every gallery and found some paintings we liked but never found any whales. On the second to last day there, we stopped in a little general store and they had three of them for sale!! We talked to a local artist and interior designer and she told us that the whales were done by folk artist Mike Lewis. She described him as one of the last true folk artist and told us that our art purchase was a great investment. Here is and article about Mike Lewis. On our way our of Maine we just couldnt leave without one last stop for a lobster roll. We stopped at Day's and right above the pick up window, this was drawn: I miss you Maine!!!
If you ever get the chance, go to Boothbay Harbor. You will not be disappointed, it is a wonderful place. I am behind on posting my sessions and wedding (no surprise) but I just had to share some images from this beautiful wedding. I love this location and I love the light. Such a wonderful day for these high school sweethearts!
A few weeks ago, on a VERY hot and humid day I took a trip with these two lovely people to Ohiopyle. I was excited for this session for two reasons... I love these two (they are family!) and I love engagement sessions. Travis is my cousin. I remember when his belly button fell off and now hes getting married! We have a very close family and I am so happy to take these photos for them. I knew we would have a great session and we ended up with really beautiful photographs. Enjoy! Then we had time for a little picnic session.... I love all of the little details
